AESOP'S FABLES

Press the Artist Icon to watch master artist Russ Chancellor work his magic. Russ explains that darker colors make objects appear further away. Close objects have richer, not lighter, colors. Learn and enjoy! Press the Book Icon to read the Aesop's fable of The man and the Fly.

Russ makes Aesop's tale of flattery and deceit come alive. I would have painted the fox with more red and orange tones. What would your child or grandchild do?

Hint: Paint the little stones with the wide brush first. Be as sloppy as you like. After you have finished coloring the stones use the Gradient Fill Tool to paint the grass. Like magic all of your mistakes will disappear!

Aesop's fable, "The Fox and the Grapes" is where the expression "sour grapes" comes from. Press the Artist Icon to see how Russ adds so much perspective to this picture.  Don't you love how he added the highlights to the grapes?
