Question:
Our company developed its own Life Insurance Illustration System in house. Can
we use NetUpdate for this software, or do we have to buy ImagiSOFT's Illustration
System?
Answer:
NetUpdate is designed to update most any Windows software no matter who wrote it.
Question:
Suppose our company purchased a license for NetUpdate. How would
we create NetUpdates for our agents?
Answer:
Before you distribute the NetUpdate user interface to each of
your users, do the following:
1)
Create a directory that contains the
latest version of every file that should reside on
each user's computer.
2)
Run ImagiSOFT's Internet Update File Editor (Press
here
to show the Editor Screen in a separate browser window).
Select File + New to create a new project file. This
will add the name, type, size, and date for each file in
this directory to the editor.
3)
If the file resides in other than the Target Directory, indicate the correct
directory in the "Directory" column of the editor.
4)
Determine what "Action" NetUpdate should perform on the user's computer with each
file. The choices are Always, Update, or Delete.
"Always" means that if the file does not exist, or if the size and date are different,
this file will be copied to the user's computer.
"Update" means that the file must exist on the user's computer, but if the
size and date are different, update this file.
"Delete" will delete the file if it exists on the user's computer.
5)
Choose a ZIP file name to store each file into. Generally, these files should be
100K or smaller. Files that are updated weekly or monthly should be 10K or smaller
if possible.
6)
The last step is to decide what message to display to the user. If a file is being
updated for a particular reason, state it here. "Universal Life Interest rate increased to 6.35%
effective 5-1-2000" is an example of a good, descriptive message.

Question:
Can NetUpdate be licensed only for specific software applications? I do not believe that our
entire company is ready to adopt NetUpdate, but our department is
definitely interested.
Answer:
Yes. We are extremely flexible in this area.
Question:
Our department does not have any software engineers. Furthermore, we nothing about the web,
how to post files, etc. Can ImagiSOFT provide this service for us?
Answer:
Yes. Let us know how many users you have and how often you will need your software
updated.
